Week Two Theme: Animal Life
Animal life. Animals. More abstractly--primal. The structure, fur, feathers, gills, fins, scales of animals. Animals we despise, animals we love. I find myself wanting to challenge myself by *not* drawing the animals I'd be inclined to sketch--dogs, kittens, horses. I want also find myself wanting to make a note to go beyond the macro and get into the micro--the real, up-close nitty-gritty of fur, feathers, scales. How those things look so different up close, with the greatest attention to detail, than they do from far away.

What a great photography project this week will be. I adore taking macro shots, and textured shots. I look forward to seeing what you find while rummaging around in areas you don't usually tread. Good luck for this week!

Hello,
Just found this site from your "SelfTaughtGirl" site...
I love this project you have set up for yourself - and I love the concept of sketching the "micro". Enjoy the journey, and I hope you don't mind if I pop in for a visit now and then to see how it is coming along.
:-)
